Eligibility and verification
Who qualifies: students enrolled at an accredited higher-education institution. Spotify checks this through SheerID, which confirms enrolment using your student details or documents.
Re-verifying: the discount is not permanent. Spotify asks you to confirm you are still a student periodically, and the plan can only be used for a limited number of years.
After you graduate: when verification lapses, the account moves to the standard Individual price. Your playlists and library stay exactly as they are.
